Modified Starches
Starch is a complex carbohydrate composed of a large number of interlinked glucose molecules. To produce starch, the starchy parts of plants are ground, the starch is washed out from the cells, and it is collected through a series of filtration and centrifugation steps before being dried into a fine white powder. We offer corn, potato, tapioca, and rice starches to create a wide range of modified starches. Modified starches are used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries.
